Refractory Specialist Technician IV **Date:** March 20, 2026 **Location:** Rio de Janeiro, BR **Company:** Ternium **Job Description:** Contribute to the effective functioning of the Organization by critically evaluating results and executing specialized technical procedures within one's scope of responsibility, aiming to propose technically sound solutions aligned with organizational objectives, optimize work activities, and improve outcomes within one's area of responsibility. **Specific Responsibilities** * Execute and supervise operational tasks and activities to enhance procedures related to one's area of responsibility. * Periodically update and monitor work plan execution, performing technical analyses and evaluations, and requesting resources and materials as needed to meet requirements within one's area of responsibility. * Comply with and promote safety, environmental, and occupational health standards and procedures, as well as work instructions, prioritizing individual and collective safety and well-being. * Ensure compliance of materials and assets under one's responsibility. * Update, prepare, and issue technical reports, statistics, and/or documents based on performed evaluations. * Conduct technical research to identify opportunities and develop solutions for process improvements within one's area of responsibility. * Provide specialized technical support within one's area of responsibility. * Plan and deliver training sessions. * Support monitoring, inspection, and supervision of refractory and metallurgical-mechanical maintenance services for coke batteries and gas ducts. * Perform repair activities on coke oven doors, including removal, repairs, and reinstallation. * Conduct systematic and preventive inspections defined in the specific refractory conservation plan. * Issue conclusive, technically grounded reports on identified anomalies. * Register new refractory maintenance materials and record material movements in the system (SAP). * Monitor receipt and inspection of materials for refractory maintenance. * Execute refractory maintenance and door maintenance scheduling. * Record scheduled activities in the SAP system. * Measure the efficiency of complete sealing of gas extraction systems through inspections and corrective interventions. * Contribute to the implementation of the 5S methodology, which includes: Use, Organization, Cleaning, Standardization, and Discipline in the workplace. Prerequisites: Technical education in metallurgy and/or related fields. Valid CFT certification. Experience in the described activities. Availability to work rotating shifts.
