Perform corrective, preventive maintenance and calibration services on biomedical equipment and life-support systems. • Carry out corrective, preventive maintenance and calibration of medical equipment, their accessories and life-support systems, including infusion and contrast pumps, pulmonary ventilators, autoclaves, ultrasonic washers, thermal disinfectors, anesthesia machines, vital signs monitors, medical gas columns (oxygen, compressed air, vacuum, nitrous oxide), surgical tables, hospital beds and mattresses, surgical lights, scalpels, glucometers, pulse oximeters, incubators, video-surgery equipment, intra-aortic balloon pumps, sphygmomanometers, thermometers, and imaging diagnostic equipment across areas such as Operating Rooms, Emergency Departments, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Intensive Care Units (ICU) and Semi-Intensive Care Units, Coronary Care Units, Laboratories, Inpatient Beds, Blood Banks, etc. * Repair saturated steam autoclaves, hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, thermal disinfectors, ultrasonic washers and related equipment used in reprocessing at the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). * Repair energized sensors, circuits and electrical components. * Record all interventions performed on equipment and systems. * Calibrate equipment according to pre-established standards and affix calibration labels. * Perform Electrical Safety Tests on electric medical equipment in accordance with IEC 60601 (International Electrotechnical Commission) guidelines, using calibrated and RBC (Brazilian Calibration Network)-traceable measuring instruments. * Replace medical gas cylinders throughout the hospital. * Specify and identify materials and accessories required to perform tasks. * Maintain clean and organized work environments, tools and materials, ensuring compliance with hospital safety regulations. Education: Completed high school. Technical course in electronics, electrotechnics, electrical engineering, automation or instrumentation. DESIRABLE: Basic instrumentation and metrology techniques. NR-10 certification. Training in preventive and corrective maintenance of anesthesia machines, monitors, scalpels, defibrillators and other medical and life-support equipment. Daily-hire position — 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
