Analyze drawings and/or schematics, specifications, and other information to plan the operational sequence. Mark the installation points for pipes, joints, and holes in walls, slabs, and floors using marking tools to guide the installation of the designed system. Excavate trenches in the ground and cut grooves in walls, guided by key reference points and using manual or mechanical tools, to accommodate pipes and complementary components. Assemble and install valves and other piping accessories, pipe sections (metallic and non-metallic), making necessary connections to equipment to complete the system installation. Test piping systems using compressed air or pressurized water while monitoring pressure gauges to ensure the integrity of the entire system and repair any detected leaks. Perform maintenance on installations by replacing or repairing component parts such as pipes, valves, fittings, sanitary ware, faucets, insulating materials, and others.
