Ação da Cidadania is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to work on its Solidarity Kitchen project, located in the Santo Cristo neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. We seek proactive professionals who enjoy teamwork and wish to generate positive social impact. **Responsibilities:** * Carry out meal preparation tasks according to menus developed by the nutrition team; * Perform duties alongside the cooking team, composed of chefs and kitchen assistants; * Organize and clean the workplace, including equipment and utensils; * Follow guidelines regarding full utilization of food ingredients; * Comply with food safety and nutritional regulations and legislation, as stipulated by Sanitary Surveillance; * Contribute to ensuring timely, high-quality, balanced, and nutritious food production for beneficiaries. **Requirements** * Completed high school education * Proven experience in large-scale kitchen operations; e.g., restaurants, food industry, schools, or supermarkets. * Sanitary and labor requirements: No beard, mustache, sideburns, body adornments, or painted nails. Daily use of uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. **Desirable** * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams; * Personal and professional organization; * Proactivity, experience in food hygiene and preservation; * Experience handling industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; * Agility in proactively resolving issues and managing challenging situations. **Additional Information** * Monday to Friday (06:30 AM to 4:18 PM) — 44 hours per week * Remuneration: R$ 1.897,65 * Transportation allowance and on-site lunch.
