




Job Summary: A technical professional responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic systems aboard vessels, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Participation in vessel maneuvers and emergencies **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** * Comply with the instructions outlined in the "Chief Engineer's Standing Orders"; * Perform tasks as instructed by the Duty Officer in the Engine Room; * Maintain all electrical appliances, installations, and lighting systems in proper working condition; * Be present in the Engine Room or at another previously designated location during vessel maneuvers or emergency situations; * Inspect communication systems, lighting, cranes, winches, and all electrical and electronic automation and control equipment in advance, keeping\-them always in good working condition; * Immediately report any irregularities observed during inspections to the Duty Officer in the Engine Room; * Assist the Chief Engineer in managing inventory of spare parts and electrical equipment; * Carry out scheduled maintenance for installations related to the role and necessary repairs under the supervision of the Duty Officer in the Engine Room; * Verify whether newly installed onboard equipment is compatible with the vessel's electrical supply; * Maintain installations, equipment, and tools assigned to them in good operational, organizational, and clean condition; * Participate in tank cleaning operations when requested by the Second Officer and/or Chief Engineer; * Check that your "Maritime Health Certificate" is valid and ensure its renewal prior to expiration; * Participate in integrated operations; * Take precautions and contribute to preventing marine environmental pollution; * Work carefully and technically, using required PPE to safely perform duties and ensuring other involved personnel also use it; * Understand your role and all others described in the vessel's Emergency Operations Master Table; * Familiarize yourself with the distribution and operation of the vessel's safety and lifesaving equipment; * Participate in risk assessments before activities. \*\*\*\*\*All our opportunities are also open to PWDs (Persons with Disabilities).
