Maintenance of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems **Electrical Technician** includes the following responsibilities and functions: * **Planning and project development**: Conducts studies and develops projects related to power electrical systems, determining flowcharts and specifying machinery and equipment. * **Assembly and installation**: Performs electrical system assembly and commissioning, bringing systems online and participating in process development. * **Maintenance**: Operates power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance. * **Assistance and training**: Assists and trains work teams, ensuring consistent application of technical and quality standards—especially for newly hired personnel. * **Product development**: Participates in product development and prepares technical documentation according to project requirements. * These functions are performed by professionals with technical training in electrotechnology, typically holding a technical course in electricity or electrotechnology.
