Machining Supervisor

Job description: Job description: We are seeking a Machining Supervisor to work in a metallurgical industry, responsible for coordinating machining operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and adherence to production deadlines. This professional will play a key role in team management, monitoring of production processes, and continuous improvement of the area. Responsibilities: * Supervise and guide the machining team on the shop floor * Plan, organize, and monitor scheduling and execution of machining processes * Ensure achievement of production, quality, and safety targets * Monitor area performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement actions * Ensure proper operation and use of CNC machines, lathes, machining centers, and other equipment * Monitor setups, production cycle times, and equipment productivity * Ensure correct reading and interpretation of technical drawings and specifications * Reduce waste, rework, and optimize machining processes * Collaborate with Production Control (PCP), Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering departments * Ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations and area organization Requirements: * Technical or higher education in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, or related fields * Prior experience in machining or metallurgical production supervision * Knowledge of conventional and CNC machining processes * Experience managing operational teams * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and measurement instruments * Familiarity with production and quality indicators and continuous improvement practices * Knowledge of cutting tools, cutting parameters, and setups Advantages: * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing * Experience with CNC programming * Experience with ERP systems * Courses focused on occupational safety and industrial management Behavioral competencies: * Leadership and effective communication * Organization and results orientation * Proactivity and decision-making ability * Teamwork * Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills Benefits: * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Free parking * Life insurance * Meal allowance * Food voucher * Transportation voucher Compensation: R$3.297,50 - R$8.403,51 per month Selection question(s): * Experience in machining?
