Afya Ribeira do Pombal—part of Brazil’s largest hub of education and solutions for medical practice—is seeking a **Unit Manager** to oversee the academic, administrative, and operational management of the Ribeira do Pombal unit. As Unit Manager at Afya, your primary objective will be to ensure the quality of the student experience by supporting internal departments and resolving requests; monitor unit indicators (retention, enrollment, dropout rates, NPS, academic performance). You will work within the **Administrative** area under the General Directorate and be part of a multidisciplinary team, interacting daily with colleagues from academic, administrative, commercial, and finance teams. **All our opportunities are open to people with disabilities (PwD) and INSS-rehabilitated individuals.** ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and duties** * Oversee the unit’s academic routine, ensuring compliance with institutional processes. * Ensure the quality of the student experience by supporting internal departments and resolving requests. * Coordinate class scheduling, classroom and laboratory organization, and infrastructure management. * Monitor unit indicators (retention, enrollment, dropout rates, NPS, academic performance). * Support financial and administrative processes, ensuring organization and compliance. * Contribute to analyses and strategic planning for the unit’s growth and strengthening. * Lead, develop, and monitor the performance of administrative and operational teams. * Foster a collaborative environment aligned with Afya’s culture and institutional guidelines. * Represent the institution at events, local partnerships, and community initiatives. * Strengthen relationships with partner agencies, stakeholders, and the academic community. **Requirements and qualifications** ### **Mandatory requirements:** * Completed undergraduate degree (in Administration, Management, Education, Health, or related fields); * Prior experience in team management and/or management of educational units; * Ability to analyze indicators, plan, and make decisions; * Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and results orientation. * Postgraduate degree in Management, Education, or related fields; * Experience in the educational sector (Higher Education Institutions); * Familiarity with academic, financial, and student support routines. **Additional information** **BRAZIL’S LARGEST HUB OF EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGIES FOR MEDICAL PRACTICE.** The Afya brand was launched in 2019, but our story began much earlier.
