Forest Machinery Operator and Maintainer Job Description The forest machinery operator and maintainer will be responsible for operating and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machines used in harvesting timber from planted forests. Responsibilities * Operate forest machinery such as harvesters, skidders, and forestry tractors * Perform preventive maintenance on machines according to manufacturer guidelines * Identify and correct mechanical faults in the equipment * Maintain a clean and organized work environment * Report problems and suggest improvements in the wood harvesting process Requirements * Previous experience as a forest machinery operator * Knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance * Ability to work in a team * Availability to work flexible hours * Willingness to travel
