




**Operations Director – Pelletizing** **Want to learn about our opportunity?** **Position ID:** 1092083 **Location:** Nova Lima, Minas Gerais, Brazil. **Application Period:** December 23, 2025 to January 08, 2026 As an **Operations Director – Pelletizing**, you will: * Be responsible for Pelletizing Plants in Minas Gerais (Factory and Vargem Grande), Maranhão (São Luís Pelletizing), and coal unloading for pelletizing in Minas Gerais at the bulk transfer yard (Patrag). * Ensure continuous alignment with the company’s strategic positioning regarding productivity and cost. * Identify and document key business hazards and risks, considering external and internal sources, market requirements, similar operations, and applicability across different areas. * Minimize/eliminate environmental impacts by adhering to pollution prevention guidelines established by waste, water and effluent management programs, atmospheric emissions, noise, vibrations, and any existing liabilities. * Ensure implementation of operational controls and procedures for Critical Activity Requirements (CARs), mitigating risks associated with task execution. * Translate the maintenance strategy into a multi-year plan aligned with the budget required to execute maintenance, preservation, and asset performance plans. * Systematize performance routines by analyzing indicators, ensuring problem prioritization and visibility, fostering an open and transparent dialogue environment, and thereby inspiring genuine interest in solutions while encouraging team members to express ideas and opinions. * Support materials chain management following technical criteria, in an efficient, reliable, safe, and sustainable manner. * Ensure development and implementation of projects for industrial facility expansion, renovation, and improvement through change management aimed at identifying & mitigating change-related risks, managing actions that guarantee control/minimization of potential impacts prior to implementation. * Achieve results by establishing indicators aligned with strategic deployment and business needs, covering health, safety, environment and communities, risks, people, quality, productivity, and costs. * Lead a team (initially comprising approximately 9 direct reports and 600 indirect reports), ensuring results grounded in people-centricity, team development, excellence in capability building, and initiatives guaranteeing sustainability and safety as top priorities. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree; Metallurgical Engineering preferred. * Prior experience in activities outlined for this position. * Solid experience in people management within large-scale, highly complex industrial environments. * Willingness to reside in Nova Lima, MG. * Willingness to travel. * Advanced English proficiency. **Desired Qualifications:** Prior experience in steelmaking and/or chemical industry companies.
