We are seeking a **WORKPLACE SAFETY TECHNICIAN** to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on yellow-line equipment, forklifts, scrap handlers, and other machinery.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Manage Health and Safety operations for our contracts with client Gerdau;
* Guide and disseminate occupational health and safety policies, standards, and procedures;
* Inspect work environments, facilities, equipment, and unsafe acts, proposing preventive improvements;
* Conduct inspections of fire suppression systems and personal protective equipment;
* Investigate workplace accidents, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions;
* Prepare technical, statistical, and record-keeping reports related to safety and accidents;
* Promote training sessions, awareness campaigns, and guidance on occupational health and safety;
* Support operational units, bases, and external clients on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) matters;
* Develop, implement, and monitor CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) and Emergency Brigade processes;
* Control documentation releases, third-party authorizations, and Work Permits (WP);
* Monitor safety programs and ensure compliance with internal, environmental, and contractual requirements.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed Technical Course in Occupational Safety;
* Experience in the duties described above;
* Prior experience in steelmaking and/or mining industries;
* Willingness to travel;
* Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency;
* Driver’s license (categories A/B) preferred;
* Must reside in Recife/PE.
