Job Mission** Safely, swiftly, and responsibly operate ambulances to ensure appropriate transportation of patients, healthcare teams, and medical supplies, adhering to safety protocols, traffic regulations, and health legislation—thereby contributing to the efficiency and quality of pre-hospital and inter-hospital care. **4. Key Responsibilities and Activities Driving and Safety** * Operate ambulances in compliance with the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB) and specific regulations governing emergency vehicles. * Ensure the safety of patients, multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and companions during transport. * Evaluate alternative routes to optimize speed and safety, considering traffic conditions, weather, and hospital access points. **Pre-Hospital Care (PHC) – Support Role** * Assist nursing staff and emergency responders in patient transport and movement (stretcher, wheelchair, backboard). * Inspect essential equipment at the start of each shift (oxygen supply, stretcher, seat belts, communication systems). * Provide basic emergency support, respecting one’s level of training and **without exceeding technical responsibilities**. **Vehicle Maintenance and Care** * Conduct daily ambulance inspections (fuel level, tires, lights, sirens, brakes, interior/exterior cleanliness). * Document any irregularities and request preventive or corrective maintenance. * Ensure vehicle refueling, hygiene, and proper preservation of onboard equipment. **Documentation and Recordkeeping** * Complete transport forms, vehicle checklists, and incident reports. * Maintain up-to-date documentation for both the vehicle and crew (driver’s license, training certificates, permits). **5. Technical Competencies** * Valid driver’s license, Category **D** (or as required by the company). * Completion of **Emergency Transport / Emergency Vehicle Driver** course (CONTRAN Resolution 789/2020). * Completion of NR 01, NR 18, and NR 06 training. * Basic knowledge of Pre-Hospital Care (PHC) — desirable. * Fundamental understanding of automotive mechanics. * Familiarity with urban routes and navigation applications. * Ability to document incidents and complete forms accurately. **6.
