**RESPONSIBILITIES:** Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients during pre-operative and intra-operative phases. As a circulating nurse: Identify the scheduled surgical procedure, prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment (verify functionality), and required materials. Receive, prepare, and assist in positioning the patient for procedures, including performing trichotomy. Remain present until the rest of the surgical team arrives, if necessary. Apply electrocautery grounding pad and perform surgical site antisepsis.
