Job Summary: An accounting professional to plan, coordinate, and execute controller, accounting, and tax activities, ensuring compliance and delivering strategic information. Key Highlights: 1. Strategic involvement in performance analysis and budgetary control This position is intended for accounting professionals with solid experience and interest in working for a company located in São Luís \- MA. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Plan, coordinate, and execute activities related to the company's controller, accounting, and tax routines; * Ensure financial records comply with current accounting and tax regulations; * Perform performance analysis, budgetary control, and provide strategic information; * Generate and analyze tax calculations and ensure fulfillment of ancillary obligations; * Act extensively in reviewing, validating, and adjusting accounting entries and reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts; * Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, etc.) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (CPC, IFRS, or USGAAP, if applicable); * Guarantee transparency and accuracy of information presented to management and *stakeholders*; * Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing processes; * Support and actively participate in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic revisions; * Conduct comparative analyses between actual and budgeted results, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions; * Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audits, providing required documents and explanations; * Coordinate responses to tax inspections and audits, ensuring all requested information is accurately provided; * Supervise the accounting team, promoting training, guidance, and performance monitoring; * Ensure the team remains updated on changes in accounting and tax regulations; * Continuously review accounting processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency and reduce error risks; * Implement technological tools and automation practices to optimize workflows; * Align accounting practices with corporate governance and sustainability principles. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. * Postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance, Controller, or Taxation is a plus; * Driver's license category B is desirable; * Active CRC registration; * Willingness to travel; * Advanced computer skills; * Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); * Knowledge of national accounting standards and cost analysis; * Experience with ERP systems (SIENGE, SAP, TOTVS, or similar); * Familiarity with tax legislation; * Analytical ability and problem-solving orientation; * Organization and attention to detail; * Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively; * Experience in companies with complex accounting structures and exposure to *due diligence* or corporate restructuring processes will be considered a plus. **Additional Information** * PJ (Individual Entrepreneur) contract; * Fixed salary; * Meal allowance (R$ 20.00/day); * Workload: 44 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Friday ending at 5 p.m.).
