**About the Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium** The Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium was established in 2023 following Ocyan’s award of a strategic contract, in partnership with the Portuguese company Mota-Engil, to execute the revitalization of Petrobras’ gas pipeline network in the Campos Basin. The project marks an expansion of the companies’ involvement in offshore EPCI projects (engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of subsea equipment). Activities will be carried out on the Namorado (PNA-1) and Garoupa (PGP-1) platforms, focusing on the installation of manifolds, flexible pipes, and other high-complexity subsea equipment. The collaboration between Ocyan and Mota-Engil strengthens the Consortium’s expertise: on one side, Ocyan’s solid experience in the Brazilian oil and gas market; on the other, Mota-Engil’s recognized international presence, especially in Europe and Africa. The Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium is developing a proprietary tool to be deployed during ROV-assisted subsea connection operations throughout the Offshore Campaign of the Campos Basin Gas Network Revitalization Project. To support this initiative, we are seeking a **Mechanical Technician** for both onshore and offshore assignments, directly participating in equipment fabrication, assembly, inspection, and maintenance phases. The professional will oversee the tool’s fabrication at the manufacturer’s facility, interfacing with engineering, fabrication, and quality teams, and will also join the offshore team during the installation campaign, performing inspections, maintenance, and onboard interventions. This represents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a pioneering and challenging project in the offshore/subsea segment. **Responsibilities and Duties** * During tool assembly and testing, will be stationed at the factory and serve as the technical focal point for the subject * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of the tool onboard, identifying requirements and ensuring continuous and efficient operation; * Carry out adjustments, alignments, component replacements, and mechanical failure diagnostics, ensuring optimal performance of mechanical systems and equipment, and minimizing unplanned downtime; * Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure all spare parts and consumables are available onboard; * Properly use, maintain, and store tools required for maintenance activities, ensuring all tools are in perfect working condition per internal standards and procedures; * Provide technical evaluation of proposals for purchasing parts and consumables; * Participate in technical follow-up meetings with onshore teams; * Support supervision in updating and maintaining operational and technical records—such as maintenance reports, inspections, diagnostics, and other technical documents—ensuring traceability and compliance with project requirements and internal standards; * Document and share lessons learned and best practices related to performed activities, promoting continuous improvement within the team and organization; * Guide and support team development, facilitating technical knowledge transfer and dissemination of best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives; **Requirements and Qualifications** * Valid CFT (Certificado de Formação Técnica); * Certifications relevant to the candidate’s field of training will be considered advantageous; * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; * Good communication skills; * Experience in assembly, disassembly, testing, and *troubleshooting* of equipment; * Technical knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, industrial valves, mechanisms, etc.; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; * Basic English; The Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium was established in 2023 following Ocyan’s award of a strategic contract, in partnership with the Portuguese company Mota-Engil, to execute the revitalization of Petrobras’ gas pipeline network in the Campos Basin.
