**Job Description – Technical Specialist (Rental Department)** **Department:** Rental and Technical Services (R2 / R2 Fire / CORE) **Reports to:** Technical Manager **Location:** Macaé/RJ – with availability for travel and offshore assignments **1\. Function Objective** Ensure technical excellence in the execution of rental, maintenance, calibration, and technical support activities for equipment sold and rented by R2 Safety, guaranteeing operational reliability and compliance with technical and regulatory standards (Petrobras, ABNT, NR, IEC, ISO 17025, etc.), with focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. **2\. Key Responsibilities** * **Equipment Inspection and Preparation:** Perform tests, calibrations, and functional checks on gas detectors, SCBAs, EEBDs, and other assets prior to customer delivery. * **Maintenance and Calibration:** Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in the field and laboratory, following technical procedures and manufacturer standards (Industrial Scientific, MSA, Bauer, Survitec, etc.). * **Rental Technical Management:** Support rental fleet control (asset in/out, traceability, reports, and certificates) in compliance with contracts and SLAs. * **Documentation and Certification:** Issue inspection reports, calibration certificates, technical reports, and service records in accordance with R2 Safety's internal standards and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. * **Technical Support and Training:** Provide technical support to customers and the sales team, as well as conduct training sessions on equipment usage, operation, and safety. * **Continuous Improvement and Compliance:** Participate in continuous improvement programs (5S, safety, quality), review work instructions, and propose process improvements. * **Technical Updates:** Stay updated on detection technologies, applicable regulations, and manufacturer and customer requirements. **3\. Position Requirements** **Education:** * Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related fields. * Active CFT registration. **Experience:** * Minimum of 2 years in maintenance, calibration, or rental of industrial safety equipment. **Technical Skills:** * Knowledge of Industrial Scientific, MSA, Honeywell, Bauer, and similar equipment. * Understanding of calibration and metrological traceability. * Interpretation of standards * Office suite and ERP systems * Technical English (manual reading). **Behavioral Competencies:** * Results and quality orientation. * Organization and attention to detail. * Proactivity and teamwork ability. * Technical communication and customer empathy. * Focus on safety and compliance. **4\. Additional Information** The Technical Specialist will work closely with the Rental, Services, and Sales departments, potentially supporting field activities at industrial plants and offshore sites.
