




Job Summary: The Engineering Manager is responsible for effectively managing all engineering and maintenance operations, including energy conservation and team development. Key Highlights: 1. Lead the engineering team in daily engineering and maintenance operations. 2. Develop systems and procedures to ensure health and safety. 3. Manage energy conservation programs and coordinate renovations. As an Engineering Manager, you are responsible for effectively managing all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including energy conservation. You are also responsible for developing the Engineering Team and staying current with engineering compliance regulations and procedures as required by hotel standards. Specifically, an Engineering Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: * Lead the engineering team in daily hotel engineering and maintenance operations, including service standards, equipment scheduling, and work schedules. * Communicate\-with housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for guest rooms and public areas. * Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests and team members, as well as appropriate conditions for plants, machinery, and property. * Communicate\-with government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations. * Prepare capital, repair, and maintenance budgets for engineering. * Conduct daily walkthroughs around the hotel. * Conduct emergency evacuation procedures as required. * Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel. * Ensure strong relationships are built with internal and external customers. * Maintain all hotel equipment and facilities to ensure they remain in safe condition and take action when unsafe situations arise. * Develop, implement, and oversee all emergency procedures. * Develop, implement, and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses. * Coordinate renovation bidding, define project cost and scope, and supervise the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed economically. * Execute special projects and other assigned responsibilities. * Identify and introduce environmentally sound systems and equipment. * Monitor key performance indicators for the engineering department and take corrective actions as needed to improve equipment inventory, quality audits, productivity, and other objectives. * Manage all team member-related activities, including recruitment, performance management, training, career planning, disciplinary matters, and team motivation. What Are We Looking For? It would be advantageous in this position to demonstrate the following qualifications and distinctions: * First Aid certification. * Qualification in the field of engineering.
