Job Summary: Work in the custody area, ensuring data integrity and operational compliance by leveraging Calypso and Java within an AWS environment to continuously evolve the platform. Collaborate with business areas to gather requirements **About the Team:** We are the team responsible for the custody system supporting the entire fund processing lifecycle of the institution, providing direct support to BackOffice, Middle Office, and RTA teams. Our work ensures data integrity, operational compliance, and correct execution of processes related to assets, positions, and settlements. We execute and continuously enhance key operational chain processes, including asset and fund custody, reconciliation of trade confirmations, positions, cash, and corporate actions, allocation and execution of transactions, trade confirmation with counterparties, valuation, position calculation, and the settlement process—with ongoing interaction with custodians and market infrastructures. We use Calypso (Nasdaq) as the core custody and settlement solution, performing customizations, integrations, and complementary development in Java, hosted on AWS infrastructure. We collaborate closely with BackOffice, Middle Office, and RTA teams—supporting both platform maintenance and continuous evolution—with a focus on risk mitigation, data integrity, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. **Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:** * Develop and customize solutions in Nasdaq's Calypso System, including workflows, events, validations, and reports. * Perform integrations between Calypso and satellite systems via RESTful APIs and messaging (SQS/SNS). * Implement backend solutions in Java using Quarkus or Spring Boot. * Collaborate with business areas to gather requirements and define technical solutions. * Participate in agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban). **What We Expect From You:** * Hands-on experience with Nasdaq's Calypso System, including development of trade confirmations, Event Engine, Workflow, Data Mart, and integration with Custody/Settlement. * Demonstrated experience in AI development is mandatory. * Strong expertise in Java (preferably with Quarkus or Spring Boot). * Experience with AWS (SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch). * Basic knowledge of relational databases (MySQL). * Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with business and IT teams.
