Start your journey with us today. **Title:** Senior Pre\-Commissioning Engineer **Location:**Rio de Janeiro, BR **Job Closing Date:** 31/06/2026 **Short Description** Perform onshore and offshore pre-commissioning engineering activities in accordance with industry practices, technical standards, and internal procedures. Work collaboratively within the team, provide technical support, guide junior engineers, and represent the company to clients, suppliers, and other departments.**What experience would we like you to have?** * Execute project or process-defined tasks independently, ensuring quality and safety while contributing to meeting scheduled deadlines. Guide, control, and supervise a team of engineers to deliver a specific scope; * Develop and take responsibility for engineering deliverables (e.g., technical specifications, loading plans, lifting plans, methodologies, task plans, equipment lists, etc.) and participate in service specifications, which may include technical support, design calculations, specifications, operating procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports; also attend meetings (regular or ad hoc) and respond to third-party requests within the limits of your technical knowledge; * Prepare project technical documentation and sign it as author/reviewer. Review and approve documentation prepared by other engineers and suppliers. Produce MDR/SDR for the project. Ensure compliance with document issuance and revision dates; * Perform and assume responsibility for field activities (onshore or offshore), as required—for example, during equipment, vessel mobilization and demobilization, equipment testing at supplier bases, yards, etc. Supervise more junior professionals; * Interact with clients, understand their needs, identify and resolve complex project issues, and approve solutions; * Interface with subcontractors, monitor and verify services delivered; * Represent Subsea7 in meetings with clients and subcontracted companies and discuss technical matters; * Know and follow engineering processes documented in the company’s document management system (including those published only on the department’s SharePoint), and ensure junior engineers apply them; * Present documents and processes during audits; * Access the COE (Community of Experts) whenever necessary and guide junior professionals on how to do so; • Suggest standardization of work routines; • Record, internally disseminate, and apply lessons learned from projects; * Critically review all engineering work performed by third parties, ensure operational safety, and approve improvement opportunities that optimize work—including proposing innovations; * Train and mentor junior engineers and interns. * Discipline-Specific Responsibilities and Challenges Contribute to identifying potential scope variations, record them, and communicate them to the project team leader; develop and approve the project schedule; participate and assume responsibility * Discipline-Specific Responsibilities and Challenges when offshore * Act as the focal point of contact with onshore engineering (serve as the "bridge" between vessel and office); **An environment where you can thrive** We recognise that having a diverse team makes us a better, smarter team.
