




Job Description: * Completed high school education; * Technical training in mechanics or electromechanics; * Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); * Basic knowledge of mineral processing operations; * Techniques for mechanical equipment inspection; * Familiarity with inspection instruments (vibration analyzers and ultrasonic testing devices); * Negotiation techniques; * Technical English; * Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and Windows. Responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections to ensure continuity, operational safety, and structural integrity of mechanical equipment and facilities at the MVV copper processing plant. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct detailed visual and technical inspections and assess the physical condition of mechanical equipment at the MVV unit, including primary, secondary, and tertiary crushers; screens; belt conveyors; mills; pumps; flotation cells; filters; and other static or rotating mechanical equipment; * Identify anomalies: Detect overheating, overloads, and other signs of imminent problems; identify wear, corrosion, cracks, leaks, excessive clearances, misalignments, abnormal vibrations, unusual noises, and any other conditions that may compromise equipment integrity or functionality; * Collect and analyze data: Record measurements, collect samples, and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and plan interventions; * Identify all critical activities in coordination with planning and consolidate scheduled activities into weekly, monthly, and major shutdown plans; * Provide accurate technical information and diagnostics to support planning and execution of corrective and preventive maintenance; * Investigate root causes and failure mechanisms (failure analysis) and prepare technical inspection reports and recommendations; * Present reports based on applicable standards and technical procedures; * Perform or supervise destructive and non-destructive testing; * Participate in developing and reviewing the mechanical maintenance plan within the SM Maintenance System, ensuring continuous alignment with established standards; * Adhere to the inspection planning/program; * Supervise maintenance activities and prevent substandard work quality; * Attend alignment meetings with operations/production teams to gather information regarding equipment performance and operating conditions; * Identify improvement opportunities to optimize time, cost, quality, and safety; * Maintain inspection equipment in good working condition; * Develop and monitor progress of inspection programs and plans; * Focus on identifying improvements to optimize processes; * Control and ensure quality of repairs, fabrication, and assembly of static equipment/piping; * Organize all documentation for quality control and audit purposes. 25121302022013025
