About the position: * Receive, inspect, identify, wash, and disinfect medical and hospital products according to instructions from nurses and/or nursing technicians, ensuring proper sterilization of materials. * Perform thermal disinfection of inhalation items following nursing team instructions and using the appropriate cycle on the thermal disinfectors, ensuring correct sterilization. * Verify the effectiveness of surgical instrument cleaning in washer-disinfectors through daily tests on inhalation item loads. * Operate and handle ultrasonic and thermal disinfection equipment in accordance with established internal procedures. * Operate and handle sterilization equipment in compliance with internal protocols and standards. * Clean and disinfect materials and equipment, and ensure their proper storage and distribution, preventing injuries from sharps, blood splashes, or other bodily fluids, and correctly using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Track material usage and submit replenishment requests as needed and per nursing team guidance, following internal procedures. * Monitor sector temperature and humidity to support effective sterilization processes. * Control access to the sector, preventing entry by unauthorized personnel and ensuring area security. * Complete sector production indicator spreadsheets to enable monitoring and support decision-making. * Maintain organization and upkeep of equipment and the work environment, immediately reporting any irregularities identified to leadership. 2512190202551756520
