**Purpose of the Position** Technically supervise and inspect geotechnical activities carried out, ensuring field execution complies with designs, geotechnical criteria, monitoring plans, safety standards, and legal and regulatory requirements. The Geotechnical Supervisor acts as the technical liaison between the company and contractors, contributing to the stability, safety, and performance of geotechnical structures, as well as risk mitigation and operational continuity. **Key Responsibilities** * Supervise and inspect geotechnical activities carried out on tailings piles, dams, dikes, slopes, and other structures associated with tailings disposal. * Monitor field construction activities, verifying compliance with designs, execution procedures, technical specifications, and established geotechnical criteria. * Act as the technical interface with contractors, providing guidance, clarifying doubts, and aligning execution practices according to geotechnical department guidelines. * Ensure proper implementation of geotechnical monitoring plans, including reading, recording, and controlling instrumentation installed in structures. * Monitor structural behavior during and after tailings disposal stages, identifying deviations, anomalies, and potential risks. * Report technical non-conformities, design deviations, unsafe conditions, and geotechnical risks to technical leadership and responsible areas. * Support validation of field-collected geotechnical data, ensuring traceability and reliability of information. * Verify contractors’ compliance with safety, environmental, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. * Technically monitor and support corrective interventions, construction adjustments, and geotechnical control measures when required. * Contribute to preparing technical progress reports, inspection records, indicators, and evidence of compliance. * Participate in implementing and monitoring actions outlined in the PGRBM, RISR, and emergency response plans, within the scope of supervised works. * Attend construction meetings, DDS (Daily Safety Dialogues), joint inspections, and training sessions with both in-house and contractor teams. * Promote a culture of safety, operational discipline, and technical compliance among field teams and contractors. **Requirements** * Technical or higher education degree in Mining, Geology, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related fields. * Experience in mining-related geotechnics, with field work. * Practical experience in monitoring, inspections, and control of geotechnical structures. * Basic to intermediate knowledge of slope stability, instrumentation, and geotechnical procedures. * Knowledge of safety and environmental standards and ANM requirements (desirable). * Ability to read designs and technical reports. * Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency. * Availability for field work. **Expected Behaviors** * Commitment to safety and operational discipline. * Proactive attitude in identifying risks and deviations. * Organization and attention to detail. * Clear and objective communication with field teams and leadership. * Operational leadership and teamwork. * Ethics, accountability, and ownership mindset. * Focus on results and operational continuity.
