**Job Responsibilities:**
* Inspect structural damage (dents, holes, rust, cracks);
* Check doors, locks, hinges, and seals;
* Verify internal flooring (typically wooden), which must not be broken or contaminated;
* Determine whether the container is suitable for export, import, repair, or retirement;
* Assign codes and issue certificates according to international standards;
* Take photographs as evidence of container condition.
* Prepare technical reports and inspection certificates.
* Verify proper cargo positioning and lashing;
* Check seals, labels, and documentation;
* Detect chemical residues, leaks, strong odors, or pests that render the container unfit for use;
* Use proprietary terminal, shipping line, or logistics company systems.
