Here, you’ll find the ideal environment to grow and develop alongside us! **On-site work opportunity in Passo Fundo or Porto Alegre/RS.** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Analyze business and technical problems in complex environments and propose sustainable solutions; * Develop and maintain backend APIs and services; * Maintain and evolve legacy systems; * Implement integrations between systems, handling diverse standards and data consistency challenges; * Investigate production issues using logs, metrics, and traces—including intermittent scenarios—with team support to address root causes; * Participate in technical decisions impacting performance, cost, and system evolution, considering trade-offs; * Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks based on real-world usage data; * Work with various architectural patterns, applying them contextually; * Actively contribute to architectural evolution within a legacy-inclusive environment; * Operate in scenarios with partially defined requirements, helping structure solutions collaboratively; * Write automated tests to ensure delivery quality and security; * Participate in code reviews and promote continuous code improvement; * Balance delivery speed versus quality according to context; * Use AI tools to support problem analysis, refactoring, and solution exploration—applying critical judgment to generated outputs. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Essential Requirements:** * Solid backend experience (Java 17+ or Node.js); * Experience with REST APIs; * Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; * Experience maintaining and evolving legacy systems; * Experience with Git and version control workflows (PRs, code review); * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (debugging, log analysis, troubleshooting); * Experience with unit and integration testing; * Knowledge of best practices (Clean Code, SOLID); * Experience with CI/CD (build/deploy pipelines); * Familiarity with observability (logs, metrics, traces); * Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban); * Experience working in collaborative teams; * Ability to decompose problems and operate effectively with incomplete requirements; * Decision-making ability grounded in trade-off analysis, supported by the team; * Basic knowledge of React and frontend API consumption; * Ability to critically validate AI tool outputs; **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with Hexagonal Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), or event-driven architecture; * Experience with Docker; * Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Datadog); * Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ); * Experience with API security (OAuth, JWT); * Practical experience with React (components, hooks); * Experience with Next.js (SSR, routing); * Experience testing legacy systems; * Practical use of AI in development for: * Accelerating development and debugging; * Supporting refactoring; * Exploring solutions and analyzing impacts in guided scenarios; * Assisting test generation and improvement. **Additional Information** Meal Allowance (Alelo); Christmas Bonus (Alelo); On-site cafeteria; Unimed health plan; Dental plan (Caixa Econômica Federal); Partnerships with higher education institutions; English language school partnership—available on-site or online; Pharmacy discount program; SESC partnership; Gympass (Wellhub); Childcare allowance and extended maternity/paternity leave (corporate citizenship policy); Newborn kit for maternity or paternity leave; Internal career advancement opportunities. **Rede de Farmácias São João** is the largest pharmaceutical retail chain in southern Brazil and the 4th largest nationwide, currently executing an ambitious expansion plan to further strengthen its leadership.
