Buyer - Bazaar

Description

We are seeking a professional to join the Bazaar category team as a **Buyer**. The role involves supplier negotiation, market intelligence, and strategic structuring of the product mix to maximize sales and profitability. **Responsibilities and duties** * Negotiate commercially with suppliers, defining volumes, costs, and delivery timelines. * Develop pricing and margin strategies for the product mix under your responsibility. * Identify new suppliers and partners to refresh the category and introduce innovation into the assortment. * Plan promotional calendars and flyers, aligning volume forecasts and sales projections. * Monitor the full product lifecycle—from purchase order placement to checkout processing. * Control inventory KPIs, stockout levels, reorder points, and inventory turnover. * Address operational anomalies affecting product availability on shelves. * Conduct routine store visits to identify new product and sales opportunities. * Define product mix by cluster and store. * Track consumer trends, market innovations, and competitor activities. * Consolidate performance reports and present strategic category results to management. **Requirements and qualifications** * Completed undergraduate degree. * Prior experience in retail procurement (preferably in large bazaar/home chains). * Proficiency in procurement KPIs (Sales, Margin, Markup, Stockouts, Turnover). * SAP knowledge is desirable. * English proficiency is desirable. **Additional information** * Annual Profit-Sharing Program (PPR) * Unimed Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * On-site cafeteria * Transportation allowance per CLT regulations * Retail Worker's Day Off Our story began in 1935, founded by Francisco José and Santina Zaffari, who—with care and dedication—established a grocery store in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul.
