**JOB OPENING:** **INTERN (NUTRITION AND DIETETICS)** **SCHEDULE:** 12:00 \- 17:15 (Monday to Saturday) **REQUIREMENTS:** Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Nutrition program. **RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:** * Conduct nutritional screening of hospitalized patients to identify potential risks of malnutrition. * Collect clinical information and dietary history through nutritional anamnesis; * Assist in estimating patients' energy and nutritional requirements; * Monitor patients' clinical progress and record, in medical records, acceptance of oral and enteral diets; * Contribute to developing dietary plans, menus, and specific diets according to various pathologies; * Participate in nutritional counseling at hospital discharge, directed toward patients and their families; * Verify meal distribution at patient bedsides, ensuring alignment between prescribed and served diets; * Assess food intake, plate waste, and leftovers to reduce waste and adjust food preparations; * Assist in completing control spreadsheets, diet charts, and verifying inventory and storage of supplies; * Participate in clinical case discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings, including physicians, nutritionists, nurses, and speech-language pathologists; * Read and discuss scientific articles with the supervisor to support evidence-based nutritional practices.
