The Mud Logger is responsible for geological and operational control of limited complexity and under intensive supervision during oil well drilling. They also monitor drilling parameters and provide technical assistance to customers in using and applying the company's engineering software. **Responsibilities:** * Collect and describe shale (cuttings) samples, identifying lithology, hydrocarbon presence, and other geological characteristics. * Continuously monitor drilling parameters such as rate of penetration (ROP), pressure, temperature, gas levels, and others. * Identify anomalies including kicks, circulation losses, pressure fluctuations, and other operational risks. * Generate technical reports, including geological logs, daily reports, and end-of-well reports. * Communicate with drilling crews and geologists, providing critical information for decision-making. * Maintain and calibrate data acquisition equipment and sensors installed on the rig. * Contribute to drilling data reliability by assisting with installation and testing of data acquisition systems and logging well activities. * Ensure drilling equipment functionality by verifying connections and sensors, performing tests, and reporting failures for maintenance. * Collaborate with experienced professionals to promote safety and quality in operations, adhering to company and client standards. * Stay updated on company QSMS (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) standards to ensure accurate and current information delivery to clients. * Assist, when requested, with equipment maintenance at the base. **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure work deliverables are accurate and completed on time. * Monitor, record, and process well data and parameters, ensuring information integrity and reliability. * Compile the End-of-Well Report, customer-requested ad-hoc reports, and daily reports. * Interact professionally with personnel and representatives from other service companies at the well site. * Maintain confidentiality of customer well data. * Identify opportunities to improve service delivery processes. * Participate in job risk analysis and continuous improvement programs. * Use PPE and comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies. * Keep required safety training up to date. **Minimum Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering * Active CREA registration * Specialized courses in the field * Experience as a Mud Logger on onshore or offshore wells * Intermediate/advanced English desirable Benefits International Opportunities Global adventure, broad exposure, and limitless learning await you.
