The company expanded and incorporated steel into its production line, changing its name to Electro Aço Altona in 1933\. Thus emerged Santa Catarina's first steel foundry and one of Brazil's earliest. Over the past decade, the company acquired other enterprises to accommodate and expand its production line, and established overseas subsidiaries to extend customer support in commercially high-demand regions such as Europe and North America.
