Description

This position is responsible for feeding production lines, assisting welders/boilermakers, assisting in rolling operations, assisting in bending operations, assisting in shipping, assisting in material receiving, performing manual painting, operating manual and bench-mounted drilling machines, operating manual grinders, operating hoists and rotary arms, operating manual grinding machines, operating multi-cut machines, operating band saws, operating manual plasma cutting machines, operating oxy-fuel torches, operating manual grinders, operating angle grinders, finishing welded, plasma-cut, and oxy-fuel-cut parts by grinding and/or sanding the worked areas. When required, perform preheating and material cutting using an oxy-fuel torch, adhering to welding standards, following manufacturing procedures and instructions from the Production Supervisor and/or Welder/Boilermaker. * Assist machine operators (rolling mill, CNC cutting, press brake, shearing machine, drilling machine, saw cutting), following manufacturing procedures and instructions from the Production Supervisor and/or Machine Operators. * Perform grinding and finishing of fabricated parts using manual grinders. Perform cuts using grinders, multi-cut machines, saws, and manual plasma cutters. Drill holes in parts using manual or bench-mounted drilling machines.
