A professional responsible for conducting tests and quality control on concrete and its constituent materials, ensuring compliance with technical standards and result reliability.

**POSITION**
Concrete Laboratory Technician
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
· Perform fresh concrete tests: slump, temperature, specific mass, and entrained air (where applicable).
· Mold and store specimens in accordance with technical standards.
· Conduct axial compression tests on specimens using hydraulic presses at specified ages (e.g., 7, 28 days).
· Collect concrete samples from construction sites or production plants, ensuring representativeness.
· Comply with sampling procedures defined by ABNT standards, especially NBR 7212 and NBR 5738\.
· Accurately complete sampling forms, control logs, spreadsheets, or digital systems.
· Prepare technical reports summarizing test results.
· Control specimen traceability (identification, curing, and breaking).
· Verify and record the quality of concrete constituent materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures, and water).
· Conduct material testing when required, such as aggregate gradation and moisture content.
· Maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments in an organized, clean, and well-preserved condition.
· Request or perform equipment calibration according to the scheduled plan.
· Manage inventory of molds, labels, PPE, and laboratory consumables.
· Follow ABNT technical standards (e.g., NBR 5738, NBR 5739, NBR 7212, among others).
· Apply good laboratory practices and ensure result reliability.
· Participate in training and updates as needed.
· Report identified non-conformities or deviations to the technical team and production department.
· Support technical failure investigations or concrete strength issues.
· Assist in validating new concrete mix designs under engineering guidance.
· Perform Abrams curves, concrete mix analysis, and supplier analysis and qualification;
· Site visits are required.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
Completed high school education;
Basic computer skills;
Experience with ready-mix concrete;
Prior experience in a concrete laboratory (preferred);
Technical course in construction, civil engineering, or related fields (preferred);

Base salary: R$ 2\.177,00
Production bonus after probation period: up to R$ 500,00 (variable)
Meal allowance: R$ 30,00 per working day (average R$ 600,00\).
Overtime pay: average R$ 300,00;

**Working Hours:**
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Average of 02 overtime hours per day, plus Saturdays when production is scheduled.
