Evaluate and research new technologies for productivity and quality **Location:** Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil **Job ID:** R0122902 **Date Posted:** 2026\-03\-25 **Company Name:** HITACHI ENERGY BRASIL LTDA. **Profession (Job Category):** Engineering \& Science **Job Schedule:** Full time **Remote:** No **Job Description:** **The Opportunity** Provide support in conducting feasibility studies for new investments, chronometric analysis, lean manufacturing, and other less complex technical activities under supervision, aiming to optimize the organization's production methods, processes, and equipment to minimize manufacturing costs and align with business strategies related to Quality, Efficiency, Cost, and Safety. **How You Will Make an Impact** * Participate in and support defining the phase sequence of a new production process to achieve product cost targets and equipment investment budget, through research and participation in cycle time studies, equipment performance opportunities, materials, and components—supporting production targets—under team guidance. * Support, gather information, study, and participate in opportunities and projects for improvement using the Lean Manufacturing methodology, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and cost requirements related to the production process, and developing and providing technical procedures and standards for production as directed. * Participate in analyses to ensure the production process complies with project objectives (current and new) through initiatives and technical studies, approving designs for internally or externally developed processes and performing final tests on such processes under team guidance and support. * Support Production activities by discussing area-related topics with the team to clarify technical questions, specify materials, equipment, tools, and measuring instruments. * Evaluate and research new process technologies—per received guidance—to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, participating in defining and leading test activities, approval criteria, and external supplier options. * Conduct research, analyses, and feasibility studies for new investments, identifying process needs or as required based on indicator results and recurring failures reported by involved departments. * Monitor maintenance planning, equipment maintenance, and release for the factory. * Develop contingency plans for processes and equipment to mitigate impacts from production stoppages. * Identify and control factory assets and their associated documentation. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering or related fields (preferred). * Advanced English proficiency is mandatory. * AutoCAD, ERP SAP, and advanced Excel. * Knowledge of Chronometric Analysis / Time and Motion Studies. * Familiarity with Quality Tools and Lean Manufacturing. **All our job openings are also open to persons with disabilities (PwD).
