**RESPONSIBILITIES:** Collecting process samples in the Refinery area and transporting samples from the Chemicals area, using sector-provided vehicles (electric cart, tricycle, etc). Preparing and analyzing Refinery process samples according to operational procedures. Cleaning and organizing materials and equipment used in the preparation and analysis of Refinery samples. Evaluating analytical results prior to reporting them via computerized systems to internal customers. Sorting and organizing samples/items received from the Chemicals/Grinding areas. Preparing and standardizing chemical solutions. Performing calibration and control routines for analytical equipment and sample preparation equipment at the Refinery. Supporting other technicians during their tasks, including directed analyses in the Bayer area. Disposing of general laboratory samples in accordance with established procedures. Conducting high-quality shift handovers, receiving information from the previous shift and communicating occurrences/status updates from one’s own shift to incoming personnel. Ensuring communication with the supervisor or responsible person to keep DMS information updated for one’s current shift. **REQUIREMENTS:** Technical qualification in Chemistry with registration at CRQ (Regional Chemistry Council); Driver’s license category B; Physical build compatible with performing sample collection in the Refinery’s operational area, handling and opening various valves, as well as fitting available and EHS-approved PPE at Alcoa; Availability to work on a fixed-shift schedule; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience: Internship or prior laboratory experience is desirable but not mandatory.
