Polyethylene (PE) Welder

Job Summary: The PE Welder will prepare and weld polyethylene pipelines, ensuring safety and quality throughout the processes, as well as adjusting trenches and performing leak-tightness tests. Key Highlights: 1. Operate polyethylene welding using thermofusion and electrofusion 2. Ensure safety and quality in welding processes 3. Perform leak-tightness testing and network commissioning **RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Prepare the surface of polyethylene pipes and fittings to be welded; · Ensure minimum conditions for welding execution, including compatibility between fittings and pipes, general inspection of the welding machine, and verification of welding parameters for fittings; · Perform welding using thermofusion or electrofusion methods; · Follow established safety procedures for welding activities; · Adjust trench opening, depth, and shoring; · Conduct leak-tightness testing and record obtained data; · Ensure compliance with leak-tightness test acceptance criteria; · Perform network commissioning and decommissioning (“Start”); · Issue welding reports and/or branch notes; · Prepare welding execution sketches; · Maintain, organize, clean, and return vehicle-mounted parts and equipment; Drive light or heavy vehicles **REQUIREMENTS:** Valid SENAI-issued certification for Polyethylene Pipe and Fitting Welder and Maintainer for Thermofusion and Electrofusion welding. Prior experience in polyethylene pipe and fitting welding and maintenance. (Desirable) Completed High School education. (Desirable) Valid driver’s license for vehicle categories “B” or “D”/“E”.
