Description
The Ophthalmology Assistant position exists to provide qualified support in patient care, performing ophthalmological examinations with attention, precision, and courtesy. The role also involves organizing the department and ensuring that patient flow proceeds efficiently, safely, and humanely. * Receive and guide patients throughout the ophthalmological examination process, ensuring welcoming care, safety, and a positive experience.
* Prepare and organize equipment prior to examinations, ensuring everything is ready for prompt, high-quality service.
* Perform complementary examinations such as pachymetry, biometry, corneal topography, specular microscopy, retinography, and others as per training and institutional protocols.
* Accurately record obtained results as well as relevant information from the patient's history, maintaining data traceability and reliability.
* Ensure equipment hygiene, calibration, and proper functioning, maintaining optimal conditions for use.
* Support scheduling organization, report management, and internal departmental workflows, contributing to efficient and integrated care.
* Uphold biosafety standards and clinical protocols, reinforcing H.Olhos' commitment to safety, quality, and care at every stage of patient care.
