Job Summary: This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling, ensuring adherence to safety standards and proper equipment conservation. Key Highlights: 1. Installation and maintenance of data network cabling 2. Working with metallic cables and optical fibers 3. Working in a government department EDUCATION: Completed high school, verified by submission of certificate or diploma duly recognized by the MEC. * TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: a) Network cabling; b) Telecommunications systems cabling technician. * PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 1 (one) year of experience in data network cabling installation and maintenance activities * RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Install network cabling including metallic cables, optical fibers, connectors, and interconnection panels (patch\-panels); b) Install racks and their accessories; c) Identify and resolve cabling issues; d) Operate measurement equipment for transmission line testing; e) Test and certify network points; f) Comply with Occupational Safety regulations, in accordance with applicable legislation; g) Ensure proper operation, appropriate use, and adequate maintenance of equipment, supplies, and general materials; h) Maintain physical facilities, equipment, and furniture of the department; i) Perform other tasks of similar nature and complexity, as required by service needs. ### **Employment Type:** CLT ### **Department:** Government
