The **biomedical scientist** plays an essential role in the hospital environment, working in an integrated manner with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and disease prevention. **Salary**: R$ 2,735.78 **Workload**: 180h (Daytime) **Modality**: In-person **Responsibilities and duties** * Perform and supervise tests in various areas, such as biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, parasitology, and cytology, analyzing patients' biological samples; * Collect blood and other bodily fluids accurately and following strict protocols, ensuring sample quality; * Monitor and implement quality control practices in laboratory processes, including internal testing and participation in external quality control programs; * Analyze, validate, and release laboratory test results to physicians, ensuring information is accurate and relevant for diagnosis, aiming at patient and data safety; * Define and monitor preventive maintenance and calibration schedules, ensuring equipment operates correctly during daily use, in order to update calibration and maintenance records, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations; * Ensure all biosafety protocols are followed, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), documenting all inspections, training sessions, and audits conducted; * Assist in the organization and administrative control of the laboratory, including document management and preparation of technical reports, ensuring all documents and reports are correct, complete, and well-organized before being finalized or archived; * Perform other activities inherent to the position. **Requirements and qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine; * Active registration with the professional council; * Intermediate level in Office software; * Experience in the role. **Additional information** * Cafeteria; * Day off; * SESC. **IMED** is a nonprofit social organization that promotes public health.
