About the Role: Alcoa is seeking a talented and dedicated individual for the position of Junior Mechanical Engineer, responsible for achieving continuous improvement in the production process to meet or exceed the needs of the Alcoa Poços facility—within the lowest possible cost and in accordance with quality standards. Develop maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and availability, meeting the requirements and needs of the operational area. *Key responsibilities include:* * Manage EHS, maintenance, and financial return, following the structured plan and monthly indicators. * Prioritize and analyze failures considering financial, production, EHS, and downtime impacts; conduct root cause investigations and actions. * Review and optimize the preventive maintenance plan, ensuring tasks eliminate failure modes and evaluating appropriate measurement methods. * Manage technical inventory, including item review, minimum/maximum levels, specifications, new inclusions, and obsolescence studies. * Develop team technical and behavioral skills, promoting a problem-solving culture and REx guidelines. * Communicate results and progress, reporting monthly deliverables and monitoring structured follow-up routines. What You Can Bring to This Role: * Advanced English proficiency; * Postgraduate degree in maintenance engineering (desirable); * Knowledge of Brazilian regulatory standards NR12 and NR13; * Familiarity with maintenance engineering tools such as FMEA and RCA; * Prior experience in maintenance engineering; * Technical knowledge of pumping systems, grinding systems, and conveyor belt systems.
