




We are looking for Datacenter Operators to join our team in Barranquilla. In this dynamic and challenging environment, you will be responsible for managing datacenter processes, ensuring service SLA compliance, and handling customer requests. Your experience and skills will be essential to guarantee security and excellent customer service. **Responsibilities and attributions** * Perform remote hands tasks for Datacenter customers * Interact with the NOC (Network Operations Center), customers, and vendors to fulfill any task related to planned or unplanned events. * Provide support for troubleshooting connectivity and IT equipment issues. * Be responsible for answering customer calls and working with them to understand technical issues and requests. * Keep customer requests updated in the ticketing system. * Update documentation related to equipment and structured cabling. * Supervise work in the white area and accompany third-party personnel. * Conduct physical and logical rounds in the Datacenter to respond to incidents, alarms, or problems. * Monitor IT infrastructure components and their visual indicators, ensuring 7x24 Datacenter operations. * Change removable media (tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc.) * Maintain an updated layout of equipment installed in the Datacenter. * Accompany visits from officials, contractors, and authorized customers entering the Datacenter. * Prepare operational reports indicating all equipment and systems installed in the Datacenter, including their status and any updates. * Control Datacenter facility documentation according to established procedures. **Requirements and qualifications** * Graduated as a technician in systems, computing, or telecommunications. (2\-3 years of experience.) * General knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including: fiber optics, TCP\-IP technologies, LAN networks, structured cabling, installation of IT equipment (servers, switches, routers) * Knowledge of fiber optic equipment and structured cabling tools * Proficiency in English – Intermediate or higher – Mandatory. * The position has working conditions aligned with the Datacenter environment, requiring rotating shift schedules to support 24-hour, 7-day operations. Due to the nature of the role, the candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. * The candidate must demonstrate confidence in customer-facing situations. * Communication skills and attentiveness when receiving instructions during critical situations. * Exceptional organizational and time management skills. * Strong written and oral communication.
