Cargo Assistant

Description

Job Summary: Perform loading and unloading, movement of goods, and delivery to the end customer, ensuring organization and proper care of products. Key Highlights: 1. Responsible for handling and organizing goods 2. Focused on cargo inspection and packaging 3. Ensures optimization of time and safety during handling Load and unload goods. Move goods between disembarkation and embarkation terminals, following guidelines for each type of cargo, cubic capacity, and vehicle. Deliver and collect cargo from the end customer. * Verify invoices; * Check cargo weight; * Inspect cargo prior to handling; * Reapply sealing tape to packaging when necessary; * Verify storage conditions and proper cargo packaging; * Check volume identification labels; * Arrange deliveries according to schedule; * Sort cargo by destination; * Verify labels for hazardous goods; * Optimize loading and unloading time; * Advise customers on proper cargo packaging; * Follow packaging recommendations; * Control stacking limits for boxes; * Request authorization for loading special cargo; * Palletize and wrap cargo in bulk according to customer requirements; * Maintain warehouse cleanliness and proper organization; * Report defective equipment; * Exercise appropriate care when handling pallets to prevent accidents and damage; * Perform other duties relevant to the position.
