Description: Professional responsible for performing splices, repairs, and maintenance on conveyor belts, as well as rubber linings and bonding in baths, chutes, and tanks. Also performs mechanical activities associated with conveyor belt transport systems, ensuring safety, quality, operational reliability, and high equipment availability, in compliance with Itaminas’ SSMA standards, procedures, and requirements. Responsibilities and Assignments * Perform hot splicing of conveyor belts, controlling temperature, pressure, and curing time according to technical procedures. * Perform cold splicing of conveyor belts, ensuring proper preparation, correct adhesive application, and joint quality. * Carry out localized repairs on conveyor belts, including patching, edge correction, and replacement of damaged sections. * Prepare work fronts for splicing, performing isolation, belt alignment, and assembly of clamping devices. * Apply rubber lining to baths, ensuring protection against wear and extending equipment service life. * Perform rubber lining and bonding on chutes, ensuring adhesion, finish quality, and operational resistance. * Perform internal and external rubber lining on tanks, in accordance with technical specifications and bonding procedures. * Prepare metallic surfaces for lining by cleaning, sanding, anchoring, and applying primer. * Apply bonding systems and perform joint finishing, eliminating air bubbles and adhesion failures. * Replace, adjust, and substitute rollers (load, return, impact, and self-aligning). * Perform maintenance and adjustment of scrapers, ensuring efficient belt cleaning. * Adjust lateral guides to minimize edge wear and misalignment. * Align conveyor belts by adjusting associated mechanical components. * Support mechanical inspections of conveyors, identifying wear, noise, vibration, and abnormal conditions. * Strictly comply with SSMA requirements, including lockout/tagout, use of PPE, and risk analysis. * Maintain tools, presses, and materials, ensuring organization, service quality, and focus on continuous improvement. Requirements and Qualifications * Technical course in Industrial Mechanics or related fields. * Minimum 2 years of experience in this role. * Proven experience in vulcanizing conveyor belts. * Knowledge of mechanical maintenance applied to conveyor belt transport systems. * Commitment to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. 2512310202491938632
