Job Summary: We are seeking a Diesel Mechanical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines of vessels, ensuring equipment availability and reliability. Key Highlights: 1. Perform maintenance on marine diesel engines. 2. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on offshore fleet equipment. 3. Join the operations team for maritime support navigation. **We are looking for a Diesel Mechanical Technician to work at our base in Aracaju, whose mission will be to execute mechanical, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities on diesel engines aboard Baru Offshore’s fleet vessels, thereby ensuring their equipment availability and reliability.** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Execute preventive maintenance activities according to received Work Orders (WO); * Execute corrective maintenance activities as directed by the Fleet Maintenance Supervisors; * Perform maintenance activities in accordance with the company’s safety principles, regulatory standards, and all applicable laws and regulations; * Minimum 5 years’ experience with Cummins diesel engines, preferably high-power marine models; * Proven experience in overhaul processes for marine engines, both in execution and process supervision; * Familiarity with electronic and mechanical fault diagnostic tools for diesel engines, such as: Insite Cummins, CAT ET, DEIF, Auto Maskin, Woodward, among others; * Ability to disassemble, assemble, and commission diesel engines and their auxiliary systems; * Knowledge of maintenance for propulsion and electrical power generation systems associated with diesel engines; **Requirements and Qualifications** Mandatory: Technical High School Diploma (Electrician, Electrotechnology, Automation, Industrial Electronics) Desirable experience in: * Operation and maintenance of marine diesel engines; * Maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic systems on pneumatic vessels; * Onboard vessel repair; * Knowledge of procedures and technical standards; * Availability for travel and onboard work on rotating shifts **Additional Information** * Health and dental insurance * Food allowance * Meal voucher * Private pension plan * Life insurance * Employee assistance programs (Meu amigo Doutor) We are a Brazilian navigation company (EBN) operating along the entire Brazilian coast and, since 2011, providing offshore maritime support services to the oil \& gas industry.
