Description:
* High school diploma. Completion of an industrial technical high school program is a plus;
* Experience in thermal power plants;
* Administrative management experience is desirable;
* Proficiency in management software (ERP) and office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team;
* Proactivity, initiative, and problem-solving capability;
* Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal;
* Willingness to work rotating shifts;
* Ability to operate manual tools.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and standards applicable to the scope of work;
* Operate equipment and systems in accordance with Operational Procedures, Operating Instructions, and Management Guidance;
* Perform activities to ensure equipment and system maintenance in compliance with Operational and Maintenance Procedures, Manufacturer’s Instructions, and Management Guidance;
* Validate measurements stipulated in contracts under the area’s responsibility;
* Support internal and external audits;
* Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned areas in accordance with the 5S Program guidelines.
* Assist in drafting technical specifications and budgets related to procurement of materials and services within the scope of responsibilities;
* Participate in preparing additional and complementary information and studies required to fulfill environmental license conditions;
* Prepare and issue periodic monitoring reports on executed activities;
* Execute control commands at control panels, computerized control stations, or on-site locations for mechanical, chemical, electro-electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems to ensure electricity generation and transmission to the National Interconnected System (SIN), as well as restore unit generator systems following shutdowns caused by protection system activation, generation reduction, and/or scheduled maintenance outages in the Generation and Transmission System, under supervision.
* Continuously monitor alarms and fault indicators on equipment and facilities to promptly identify issues and implement corrective actions to restore normal operation, immediately reporting to the immediate supervisor.
* Communicate with operational support teams and other control centers of the unit generator systems to exchange information and receive instructions as necessary, accurately executing control actions according to the unit generator system’s operational requirements.
* Execute, supervise, verify, and correct operations by visually confirming successful command execution on equipment and systems requiring reliable state supervision—thereby preventing equipment damage, ensuring functional safety of Âmbar Sul Energia employees, and continuously mitigating environmental and process impacts.
* Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential abnormalities and perform minor maintenance tasks assigned to the Operator, in compliance with Operation and Maintenance Manuals, while adhering to job rotation schedules.
* Perform functional tests on equipment, systems, and auxiliary services; receive, inspect, and authorize for operation areas or equipment previously under maintenance.
* Supervise and execute de-energization and physical/artificial grounding within the boundaries of the generating unit to ensure personnel safety during maintenance procedures;
* Implement physical and control-device lockout of equipment at computerized control stations or within the generating unit’s system areas, including defining, tagging, and physically releasing areas or equipment for maintenance purposes.
* Enforce technical safety standards during maintenance activities performed by in-house or contracted maintenance teams within the generating unit’s system areas, ensuring personnel physical integrity.
* Record occurrences—including shutdowns, switching operations, adjustments, equipment and facility anomalies, activated alarms and protections—in logbooks and/or supporting software, enabling information sharing among other operators, operational support teams, system control centers, and post-operation teams.
* Monitor and supervise key parameters of the generation and transmission system to ensure power quality, equipment integrity, and personnel safety, while continuously mitigating environmental and process impacts.
* Receive and unload chemical products, coal, quicklime, industrial waste, industrial gases, fuel oils, and maintain required records per operational procedures;
* Monitor supply chains of raw materials and manage inventory levels to optimize consumption;
* Carry out laboratory analyses of process and input materials, consistently aiming to mitigate environmental and process impacts;
* Conduct contract oversight related to the macro-process of responsibility;
* Assist in developing and updating procedures and instructions for the macro-process of responsibility.
* Monitor technical reports related to input quality indicators and process performance for the macro-process of responsibility;
* Identify, propose improvements, and report anomalies related to the macro-process of responsibility;
* Ensure representativeness of process sampling systems, minimizing parameter deviations and optimizing input consumption.
* Perform other duties related to those described above, as stipulated by legislation governing the profession, at the discretion of the immediate supervisor;
