Identify inconsistencies and suggest cost optimizations **Cost and Control Analyst (Engineering)** **Job Objective:** Oversee technical and financial control of construction procurement requests, ensuring budget compliance, quantity consistency, and cost optimization. This position is responsible for performing analytical reviews of field-sourced demands, ensuring alignment with project specifications and budgetary guidelines. **Responsibilities:** * Analyze and validate construction procurement requests based on the approved budget; * Verify quantities of materials and services, performing technical validations; * Identify inconsistencies among budget, project documentation, and field procurement requests; * Ensure procurement requests are accurate prior to release to procurement; * Suggest cost optimizations and improvements to procurement requisitions; * Collaborate with field, budgeting, and procurement teams to align information; * Record and track procurement requests via internal systems; * Support standardization and continuous improvement of control processes. **Requirements and Competencies:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; * Experience with construction quantity take-offs; * Intermediate Excel proficiency (minimum requirement). **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with ERP systems or workflow tools (preferred: Mega or similar). * Prior experience in construction, planning, budgeting, or cost control; * Knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings. **Benefits:** At Valor Real, we value every member of our team and invest in their growth and well-being.
