Laboratory Assistant
City of work: Curitiba/PR \- Neighborhood: Batel
Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00
• Saturdays: From 08:00 to 12:00, on an alternating basis after the probationary period
Job Description:
• Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of workbenches;
• Organize manipulation utensils on workbenches and replenish as needed;
• Carry out handling of liquid, semisolid, solid formulations, and standard formulas according to relevant standard operating procedures;
• Perform quality control of finished products: average weight of cookies and capsules, pH of liquids, color, odor, weight, and record all information on the manipulation order;
• Fill formulations into appropriate and pre\-determined packaging and clean packaging post\-handling;
• Label formulations according to standard operating procedures;
• Insert guidance labels, if required;
• Verify in\-process quality control (average weight/pH/weight);
• Verify that labels on manipulated formulas match prescriptions;
• Check expiration dates of compounded medications;
• Process manipulation orders in the PCP system;
• Perform daily verification and recording of scale weights and perform calibration when necessary;
• Daily verify and record temperature and humidity of environments and refrigerators (twice per day);
• Replace exhaust filters as needed and/or according to schedule;
• Complete incident report forms for any issues;
• Separate sterile medications according to sales orders;
• Assist in maintaining workplace equipment, as well as organizing and cleaning the environment whenever necessary;
• Comply with company policies, guidelines, and routines, as well as any newly established ones, whenever required;
• Perform other related duties at the immediate supervisor's discretion, whenever necessary.
Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of calculations and computer skills.
• Organized.
• Ability to perform routine and standardized tasks under guidance.
• Moderate attention span.
• Teamwork and supervision.
• Commitment to organizational goals.
• Use of PPE (hairnet, shoe covers, lab coat, mask) is mandatory during task execution.
