This includes adjusting valves, checking water levels, controlling pressure and temperature, and ensuring continuous thermal energy supply. * **Maintenance and Inspection**: Performs preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure proper boiler operation. The operator must identify and rectify issues arising during operation. * **Safety**: It is essential that the operator follows safety regulations and emergency procedures, monitors the integrity of valves and piping, and activates emergency systems when necessary. * **Data Recording**: The operator must record operational data and log readings in reports, contributing to failure prevention and system improvements. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Education**: A completed high school diploma is typically required, along with a technical course in boiler operation, which may include specific certifications. * **Required Skills**: The operator must possess technical knowledge of boiler operations, skills in monitoring and controlling systems, and a solid understanding of safety regulations. **Work Environment** Boiler operators may work in industries across various sectors, such as petrochemical, pulp and paper, and power generation.
