Crane Operator

Description

Job Summary: Assist in loading and unloading materials, operate cranes for cargo transportation, clean and organize the workplace, and perform basic crane maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. Safe crane operation for cargo transportation 2. Assistance in loading and unloading materials and equipment 3. Performing basic maintenance and organizing the work environment Assist in loading and unloading general construction materials and/or equipment transported by crane using appropriate tools/instruments (hand truck, pallet jack, lashing belts, ropes, etc.). Operate the crane for cargo transportation from a safe location (mini-crane) or suspended cab (tower crane), using a button panel or remote control (mini-crane), hydraulic controls (tower crane), radio communication with the crane signalman/load rigger on the ground, technical safety specifications and standards, and appropriate tools/instruments (two-way radio, etc.). Perform cleaning and organization of your workplace (cab and loading/unloading area) using appropriate tools/instruments (broom, shovel, hand truck, bucket, etc.). Carry out basic/primary crane maintenance by completing the daily \"Check List\" for operation and reporting any irregularities identified to your immediate supervisor and the Occupational Safety Technician. Participate in crane inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the equipment remains in optimal condition and operations remain safe.
