**A Day in the Life of a Store Operations Assistant:**
* Proactive Customer Service and Guidance: Provide proactive customer service by making yourself available to clarify doubts and guide customers, applying GAV’s guidance methodology to close solution-based sales (product + services) across physical and digital channels. How to do it: Identify customer needs, apply the SBOA technique (Smile, Good morning, Thank you, Goodbye) for engagement, and present available product and service solutions, always aligning with complementary departments when necessary (e.g., wood cutting, financing). Why we do it: To ensure a complete and satisfying shopping experience, contributing to customer loyalty and satisfaction.
* Product and Display Management: Gain in-depth knowledge of section products, including "product families", physical and technical features, and maintain organized and appealing displays for customers. How to do it: Monitor product availability, restocking, pricing, and ensure correct display and environmental setup that highlights Q3 and Q4 products. Why we do it: To ensure products are always ready for sale and well-presented, increasing attractiveness and perceived quality by customers.
* Inventory Registration and Control Assurance: Ensure accurate product registration in the system and manage inventory precisely, including linear, overhead, and visual stockout management. How to do it: Update product registration according to supplier information, perform targeted adjustments in the IRC system, and flag any shortages or registration errors. Why we do it: To maintain data accuracy and prevent stockouts or disorganization that could negatively impact customer experience and sales.
* Cash Operation and Peak-Time Customer Service Control: Assist at cash registers during peak periods, familiarizing yourself with essential procedures and practices to maintain flow and service quality. How to do it: Operate the cash register per store procedures, offer PIV and checkstand products, ensure control over waiting time, and promote the Loyalty Program. Why we do it: To maintain high-quality service even during high-traffic periods, avoiding queues and ensuring customers complete purchases positively.
* Pickup/Drive-Thru/Click & Collect and Customer Service (SAC): Manage pickup point and SAC interactions, proactively resolving exchanges, returns, and complex service cases. How to do it: Know return and exchange procedures, handle complaints, and resolve issues involving other stores and departments, always prioritizing customer satisfaction. Why we do it: To guarantee agile and efficient handling of exchanges and pickups, minimizing conflicts and ensuring customers have a positive experience with the store.
* Participation in and Organization of Commercial Operations and Inventory: Actively participate in commercial operations, physical stock counts, and preparation for periodic inventories, ensuring record accuracy. How to do it: Assist in organizing physical counts, monitor the inventory process, and collaborate with the team in preparing and presenting promotional products. Why we do it: To maintain inventory accuracy and enable seamless commercial operations, optimizing product availability and customer service.
* Stocking Products on Linear and Peripheral Areas: Continuously replenish products on linear shelves, ensuring linear shelves, Cross Screens, Tape Displays, and Checkstands remain fully stocked and organized per the planogram, repositioning merchandise according to demand and maintaining correct pricing. How to do it: Regularly monitor stock levels, restock as needed, adjust price labels, and maintain visual organization for easy customer access. Why we do it: To ensure product availability to customers, improve the shopping experience, and optimize the section’s sales potential.
