1. Technical Knowledge Knowledge of machining, fitting, and maintenance of tools, dies, molds, and industrial fixtures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and tool specifications. Proficiency in tool cutting, grinding, milling, drilling, welding, and finishing processes. Basic understanding of metallic materials and their properties (steel, aluminum, iron, metal alloys). Familiarity with measuring and dimensional control instruments: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, templates. Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures for tools and toolroom equipment. Basic knowledge of safety practices for machine tools and hand tools. 2. Operational Competencies Fabrication, maintenance, and adjustment of production tools, templates, and fixtures. Support in preparing and organizing the toolroom department. Conducting inspections and functional tests of tools and fixtures. Control of materials, consumables, and tool inventory. Recording performed activities and maintaining tool history and adjustment records. Ability to resolve simple tool-related issues or guide operators on correct tool usage. 3. Safety Competencies Strict compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Awareness of hazards such as cuts, crushing injuries, welding spatter, and noise. Correct procedures for storage and handling of tools and heavy parts. Safe operation of toolroom machines and equipment. 4. Behavioral Competencies Attention to detail, precision, and commitment to tool quality. Organization and discipline in the workplace and in tool maintenance. Teamwork, collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering departments. Proactivity in identifying failures and proposing improvements.
