Technical Knowledge Knowledge of visual, dimensional, and documentary inspection techniques. **Basic proficiency in measurement instruments, such as:** calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, gauges, pressure gauges, and others. Reading and interpretation of technical drawings, specifications, tolerances, and applicable standards. Understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 or industry-specific standards). Understanding of requirements for raw materials, components, in-process products, and finished products. Knowledge of sampling methods, acceptance/rejection criteria, and inspection recordkeeping. Familiarity with procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans. 2. Operational Competencies Conducting incoming, in-process, and final product inspections according to standards and checklists. Accurately recording results, issuing inspection reports, and initiating NC Reports (Non-Conformance Reports). Identifying non-conformities and immediately notifying responsible personnel. Verifying instrument calibration and condition prior to use. Supporting root cause investigations by providing information and evidence. Ensuring products meet quality, safety, and technical specification requirements. Monitoring inspection-related KPIs, where applicable. 3. Safety and Compliance Competencies Strict adherence to safety procedures, PPE usage, and internal standards. **Awareness of hazards in production areas:** machinery, chemicals, noise, heat, etc. Conducting inspections in accordance with compliance and integrity standards. Safe handling of parts, equipment, and materials during inspections. 4. Behavioral Competencies Attention to detail and high level of rigor in inspections. Impartiality, ethics, and accountability in approval/rejection decisions. Effective communication, ensuring clear information transfer to production, engineering, and quality teams. Organizational skills to maintain up-to-date records, instruments, and documentation. Teamwork and collaboration with production departments.
