In this strategic role, the professional will be responsible for coordinating the planning, integration, and control of capital project and installed base upgrade schedules, ensuring alignment among scope, timelines, resources, and costs. This position has a direct impact on project predictability, managerial decision-making, and business results, actively contributing to the continuous improvement of planning processes in a global environment. This position reports to the Manager and works in close collaboration with Project Managers. The role is primarily based in Sorocaba and involves up to 30% travel (domestic and international). Team You’ll Join You will join a high-performance Project Management team accountable for profitability (P\&L), on-time delivery (OTD), customer satisfaction, quality, and scope adherence. Projects serve global Mining sector customers, with teams distributed across South America, working in close collaboration with the NCA, EMEA, and APAC regions. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the development, consolidation, and maintenance of integrated project schedules in MS Project or Primavera, based on the approved WBS. Lead the schedule update process, progress monitoring, and deviation analysis—including critical paths, milestones, and project impacts. Coordinate and validate schedule recovery scenarios—such as fast tracking and crashing—assessing impacts on cost, risk, and resources. Serve as the technical reference for planning, supporting Project Managers and planners in the use of tools, reporting, and executive presentations. Ensure schedule integration with procurement, logistics, manufacturing, engineering, and commissioning milestones. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to ensure realistic timelines and appropriate resource allocation. Consolidate supplier and subcontractor schedules, ensuring control over critical activities and interfaces. Identify, analyze, and communicate planning risks, deviations, and impacts, proposing mitigation actions to stakeholders. Coordinate the issuance and control of customer deliverables and documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual and project requirements. Support portfolio project management, including OTD indicators, risks, capacity, and resource loading. Represent the Planning function in progress review meetings, gate reviews, and forums with leadership and strategic customers. Support the development of physical progress curves, resource histograms, and capacity analyses. Contribute to commercial proposal development through baseline schedule preparation and validation, along with planning assumptions. Coordinate the standardization of planning methodologies, templates, and KPIs to ensure consistency across projects. Oversee planning governance, ensuring adherence to processes, reporting cycles, and corporate standards. Develop and monitor planning KPIs, proposing continuous improvements based on performance analysis. Support capacity and resource planning for the project portfolio, in coordination with management. Contribute to the maturity of the planning function through training, technical guidance, and dissemination of best practices. Support lessons learned analyses, incorporating improvements into future processes and schedules. Act as the focal point for integration between planning, cost, and risk functions, where applicable. Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 10–15 years of solid experience in capital project and upgrade planning and control, preferably in industrial or global environments. Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera. Experience with SAP (MM, PS). Project Management education or certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent) is considered a plus. Proven ability to coordinate technically and interface across multiple functions. Analytical, organized, proactive profile with strong communication skills.
